Sector 18 is Noida’s central commercial district — malls, high-street showrooms, restaurants, cinemas, banks and office towers around a Blue Line metro station — and the busiest retail area in the city. Businesses here file GST returns under the same Uttar Pradesh jurisdiction as the rest of Noida, but what goes into those returns depends heavily on what the sector does.

Tax VKV Group offers GST return filing online to businesses in Noida Sector 18: you send the month’s sales and purchase data, we reconcile and file, and you receive the acknowledgement along with a one-page summary of tax paid and credit claimed.

Serving businesses in Noida Sector 18 online. Our team works from Noida, Uttar Pradesh — we do not run a branch in Noida Sector 18. Documents are shared over WhatsApp or email and every filing is made on the official government portal.

What GST return filing covers for a business in Noida Sector 18

Units in Noida Sector 18 typically file monthly: GSTR-1 by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th, with input credit limited to what appears in GSTR-2B. Above ₹5 crore turnover every B2B invoice must be an e-invoice; exporters and SEZ suppliers additionally track LUTs and refund claims. The annual return GSTR-9 follows after year-end.

In Uttar Pradesh, registration becomes compulsory once turnover crosses ₹40 lakh for goods (₹20 lakh for services), and quarterly QRMP filers have until the 24th of the month after the quarter for GSTR-3B. Inter-state sellers and most online sellers must register regardless of turnover.

GST in Noida Sector 18: the local business picture

Everything in Sector 18 is consumer-facing. Restaurants, cafés, bars and food-court counters bill thousands of small invoices a day; fashion, electronics and jewellery stores sell at different rates; salons, gyms and clinics provide services; and almost every business operates from leased space in a mall or commercial tower. Rent, common-area maintenance and mall revenue-share arrangements all carry GST, and input credit on them is available only to businesses whose own sales are taxable with credit.

Restaurants and food-court outlets

Five per cent without input credit, delivery-app orders reported separately.

Fashion and electronics stores

Rate by product and sale value; credit on rent and fit-outs.

Owners of shops and office space

Eighteen per cent on rent and maintenance charges.

What matters for each kind of business

Restaurants & Hotels. Hotels and banquet operators deal with several rates under one roof: room tariff taxed by its declared value, restaurant service, banquet and conference hire, and alcohol, which is outside GST altogether. A bundled package — a wedding with rooms, hall, décor and catering — has to be analysed as a composite or mixed supply. Online travel agents deduct TCS and report the booking, so room revenue in the return must match their statements.

Shops & Retailers. A retailer’s return is built from two piles of paper: purchase bills from distributors, which must carry the shop’s GSTIN to give any credit, and daily sales, most of which are small consumer bills reported as a rate-wise total. Payments received by UPI and card are now visible to the department through bank reporting, so sales declared in the return should not fall short of what the bank shows.

Builders & Property Owners. Renting commercial property is a taxable service at 18% once the owner’s receipts cross the registration threshold, and an unregistered owner letting to a registered tenant triggers reverse charge in the tenant’s hands. Builders follow project-wise rates with restrictions on credit and an 80% purchase condition from registered suppliers that has to be tested every year.

Where GST filing goes wrong — and why it matters

  • A hotel that reports less room revenue than booking platforms have reported for it gets an automated mismatch notice.
  • A shop whose UPI and card receipts exceed the sales in its returns is an easy mismatch for the system to flag.
  • Landlords often discover the GST liability on commercial rent only when the tenant’s auditor asks for an invoice.
  • Late fees run per day of delay on every pending return, and interest at 18% a year applies on tax paid late.
  • Your buyers get input credit only when your GSTR-1 is filed — late filing is one of the quickest ways to lose a B2B customer.

How the filing works, step by step

  1. Data in. You send the period’s sales and purchase bills — photographed bill books, an Excel sheet or a Tally, Busy or Vyapar export all work.
  2. Reconciliation. We match your purchases with GSTR-2B, list the suppliers who have not uploaded their invoices and work out the correct credit and tax payable.
  3. Your approval. You receive a short summary — sales, credit, tax to pay — and confirm it before anything is filed.
  4. Filing and record. Returns are filed before the due date and the acknowledgements are sent to you, with the next deadline already on our reminder list.

GST filing in Noida Sector 18 — frequently asked questions

Not if you charge customers the 5% restaurant rate, which is conditional on not taking input credit. The GST on rent then becomes a cost. Outlets in specified premises that charge 18% on restaurant service can take the credit. It is worth computing which position you are in.

Alcoholic liquor for human consumption is outside GST and is subject to state excise and VAT instead. Food, soft drinks and service in the same outlet are under GST, so the bill is split and the two parts are reported under different laws.

No. A composition dealer issues a bill of supply, not a tax invoice, cannot collect tax from the customer, and must print “composition taxable person, not eligible to collect tax on supplies” on the bill. Tax is paid out of the dealer’s own margin at the flat rate.

Rent on commercial property is taxable at 18% if the landlord is registered or required to be. Where an unregistered landlord lets commercial property to a registered business, the tenant pays the tax under reverse charge. Residential letting for use as a residence is exempt.

For monthly filers GSTR-1 is due on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the following month. Under QRMP, the quarterly GSTR-1 is due on the 13th and GSTR-3B on the 22nd or 24th after the quarter, depending on the state. Composition dealers pay through CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter.

Yes. Every registered taxpayer must file a nil return for a period with no transactions. Late fees apply to nil returns as well, though at a lower per-day rate, and they keep adding up until the return is filed.
