Faridabad, in Haryana south of Delhi, is one of north India’s oldest industrial cities, known for tractors, earth-moving equipment, auto components and light engineering, with industrial sectors stretching from the old town to Ballabgarh. With that density of registered businesses, GST work here is less about “how do I file” and more about getting input credit, e-invoicing and vendor mismatches right every single month.

For businesses in Faridabad our team works remotely — data in by the first week, reconciliation mid-month, filing ahead of the deadline, acknowledgement on your phone.

Serving businesses in Faridabad online. Our team works from Noida, Uttar Pradesh — we do not run a branch in Faridabad. Documents are shared over WhatsApp or email and every filing is made on the official government portal.

What GST return filing covers for a business in Faridabad

For most businesses in Faridabad the cycle is monthly: GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-2B generated mid-month, GSTR-3B with payment by the 20th. E-invoicing applies once aggregate turnover crosses ₹5 crore, and the annual return GSTR-9 (with the GSTR-9C reconciliation for larger taxpayers) closes the year. Smaller firms can still opt for QRMP and file quarterly.

For businesses in Haryana: the registration threshold is ₹40 lakh of turnover for goods and ₹20 lakh for services, quarterly filers under QRMP file GSTR-3B by the 24th of the month following the quarter, and anyone supplying to another state — or selling goods through an online marketplace — generally needs registration from the first sale.

Who files GST returns in Faridabad

Faridabad is a city of workshops and factories. A few large manufacturers of tractors, construction equipment and appliances sit at the top of long supply chains of small and medium units doing machining, forging, sheet-metal work, rubber and plastic moulding. For those units GST is about job work, tooling, scrap and — above all — the buyer’s demand that every invoice appear in GSTR-1 on time. Dispatches to Delhi, Noida and Gurugram plants cross state lines or not, depending on the destination.

Component makers supplying large manufacturers

E-invoices, tooling and amortisation, and returns of rejected goods through credit notes.

Job-work units

Tax on job charges only; movement of the principal’s goods on challans.

Engineering exporters

LUT, shipping bills and refund of accumulated credit.

GST by type of business

Manufacturers & MSME Units. A factory pays GST on more than its sale invoices. Stock sent to the unit’s own depot or branch in another state is a taxable supply although nobody has paid for it; scrap and by-products are taxable; and inputs sent to a job worker must come back within one year — capital goods within three — or be treated as sold. Freight paid to goods transport agencies usually brings tax under reverse charge, payable in cash and then claimed as credit.

Transporters & Logistics. Goods transport agencies sit in an unusual position: in many cases the tax is paid by the customer under reverse charge, not by the transporter. A transporter can instead opt each year to pay tax under forward charge. The option decides who reports what, whether credit is available and how consignment notes must be worded — so it should be chosen deliberately.

Exporters. Refund of input credit on exports under a Letter of Undertaking is worked out by formula — export turnover as a share of total turnover, applied to the credit on inputs and input services — and credit on capital goods is left out of it, which surprises units that have just bought machinery. The claim is filed period by period within two years, with a statement linking each invoice to its shipping bill. Exports by post or courier count too, if the export declaration is on record.

Why on-time GST filing matters here

  • Stock moved to your own branch in another state without a tax invoice is treated as an unreported supply.
  • A transporter who picks the wrong option for the year either loses credit on trucks and tyres or creates disputes with every customer.
  • A refund claim filed more than two years after the relevant date is rejected, however genuine the export.
  • Returns older than three years from their due date can no longer be filed at all, so an old backlog cannot be left to “sort out later”.
  • Continuous non-filing leads to blocked e-way bills and eventually suspension or cancellation of the GSTIN.

From your bills to a filed return: our process

  1. Scope and access. We agree the returns to be filed and set up view access or a data-sharing routine with your accounts team.
  2. Books-to-portal reconciliation. Sales as per books are tied to e-invoices and GSTR-1; purchases are matched to GSTR-2B and actioned in the Invoice Management System.
  3. Computation sign-off. A working with output tax, eligible credit, reversals and RCM liability is shared for sign-off.
  4. Filing and follow-through. Returns are filed ahead of the deadline; vendor mismatches and any system notices are tracked until closed.

Looking for “GST filing near me” in Faridabad?

A “GST filing near me” search in Faridabad will usually show directory listings. Before choosing anyone, near or far, ask three things: will they reconcile GSTR-2B before claiming credit, will you see the numbers before filing, and will you get the acknowledgement every time?

Tax VKV Group serves Faridabad online from its Patna office — there is no branch here. What you get instead is a fixed process: a data cut-off date, a summary for your approval, filing before the due date and a reminder before the next one.

Questions about GST filing in Faridabad

Where the contract makes the supply of moulds and dies the customer’s responsibility, their value is not added to your price. If you were contractually bound to provide the tooling and the customer supplied it instead, an amortised value has to be included. The purchase order’s wording decides it.

Yes. Registrations of the same business in different states are treated as distinct persons, so a transfer of stock between them is a taxable supply and needs a tax invoice and, usually, an e-way bill. The receiving unit claims the tax as input credit, so the effect is on cash flow rather than on cost.

It depends. For a goods transport agency, tax on most business customers is paid by the customer under reverse charge unless the transporter has opted for forward charge that year. Pure truck hire to another transporter and transport of certain agricultural produce are exempt.

Not through the Letter of Undertaking route: the refund formula there covers credit on inputs and input services only. Credit on capital goods stays in your ledger and can be used against tax on domestic sales. Exporters with heavy capital spending sometimes choose to export on payment of IGST for this reason.

A late fee is charged for each day of delay on GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B (a reduced amount for nil returns), subject to caps linked to turnover. Interest at 18% a year is charged separately on any tax paid late.

Usually yes, in sequence and with late fee and interest — we compute the total before starting. But returns more than three years past their due date are now blocked on the portal, so a backlog should be cleared without waiting.
