Income Tax Filing in Faridabad
Online Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing assistance for businesses and individuals in Faridabad.
Faridabad, in Haryana south of Delhi, is one of north India’s oldest industrial cities, known for tractors, earth-moving equipment, auto components and light engineering, with industrial sectors stretching from the old town to Ballabgarh. Returns from here tend to involve more than a single Form 16: job changes, HRA, stock options, capital gains and rental income often land in the same year.
Tax VKV Group offers income tax return filing online to taxpayers in Faridabad: you share your documents, we choose the correct form, compare both tax regimes, show you the computation and file only after you approve it.

Income tax return filing in Faridabad: what is involved
A typical return here means reconciling salary from one or more employers, interest and dividends from the Annual Information Statement, and any capital gains — then testing the old regime (HRA, home-loan interest, 80C, 80D) against the new one, where income up to ₹12 lakh is tax-free after rebate. Businesses and professionals add a choice between presumptive taxation and audited books.
Key dates: 31 July for individuals without business income, 31 August for business and professional returns not requiring audit, 31 October for audited cases, and 31 December for a belated return. Income earned from 1 April 2026 falls under the new Income-tax Act, 2025, which calls the year the “tax year”. Haryana does not levy professional tax on salaries, so there is no such deduction to look for in your Form 16. For house rent allowance under the old regime, Faridabad falls in the 40%-of-salary category; the 50% limit applies only to eight notified metro cities.

Earning a living in Faridabad — and what your return should show
Factory and workshop owners — proprietors, partnerships and private companies — are Faridabad’s defining taxpayers, with audited accounts, machinery loans and payments to labour contractors. The employees of its industries and the many residents who commute to Delhi and Gurugram file salaried returns; Haryana has no professional tax and the HRA limit here is 40%. Scrap sales, cash wages and unsecured loans from family are the items auditors and assessing officers look at first.
Owners of engineering units
Tax audit, depreciation on machinery and TDS on job work and labour contractors.
Industrial and commuting employees

What to watch, by type of taxpayer
Firms & Companies. Businesses above the presumptive limits keep full books, and a tax audit applies once turnover crosses ₹1 crore — or ₹10 crore where cash receipts and payments are each within 5%. The audit report goes in a month before the return. Companies and LLPs file every year regardless of profit, and partners’ remuneration and interest have their own limits.
Salaried Professionals. Company payrolls compute tax on what the employee declares at the start of the year, and the return is where that estimate is corrected. Proofs not submitted in time, a bonus or joining payment later recovered, notice-pay deductions, leave travel claims and the employer’s contribution to NPS — deductible up to 14% of salary under the new regime — all change the final figure. Income outside salary, such as interest or freelance fees, is never in Form 16.
Shop Owners & Traders. A trader’s return is read alongside two other records — the GST returns and the bank account — and all three should describe the same business. ITR-4 also asks for closing stock, debtors, creditors and cash in hand, which should be realistic. Two cash rules matter at the counter: no receipt of ₹2 lakh or more in cash from one person for one transaction, and, where books are kept, no deduction for a cash payment above ₹10,000 in a day.
What a careless return can cost
- A tax audit report filed late draws a penalty of up to 0.5% of turnover, separate from any tax.
- Tax short-deducted by the employer is still the employee’s liability, payable with interest before the return is filed.
- Accepting ₹2 lakh or more in cash for a single sale draws a penalty equal to the amount received.
- Refunds are issued only after the return is filed, e-verified and processed — and only to a pre-validated bank account.
- The department already sees interest, dividends, share trades and high-value purchases in the AIS; an unexplained gap produces a notice.
How we prepare your return
- Documents in. You send Form 16 or income details, bank statements and investment proofs — photos over WhatsApp are fine.
- Cross-check. We download your AIS and tax statement and match every entry with your papers, so nothing is missed or counted twice.
- Computation for approval. You see the tax under both regimes, the refund or tax payable, and confirm before filing.
- Filing and e-verification. The return is filed, e-verified with Aadhaar OTP and the acknowledgement sent to you; we watch the refund status afterwards.

Questions about income tax filing in Faridabad
A seller of scrap whose turnover exceeds the specified limit must collect tax at source at 1% from the buyer, unless the buyer declares that the scrap will be used in manufacturing. The amount collected is deposited and reported in quarterly statements, and the buyer gets credit for it.
Broadly, when turnover exceeds ₹1 crore (₹10 crore if at least 95% of receipts and payments are non-cash), when professional receipts exceed ₹50 lakh outside the presumptive scheme, or when a presumptive taxpayer declares lower profit with taxable income. The audit report is due by 30 September.
Yes. Deductions you are entitled to under the regime you choose can be claimed in the return even if the employer did not allow them, provided you hold the proof. The excess TDS then comes back as a refund. HRA claimed directly in the return needs rent receipts and, above the limit, the landlord’s PAN.
No. Receiving ₹2 lakh or more in cash from one person in a day, for one transaction, or for one event is prohibited, and the penalty equals the amount received. Larger payments should come by bank transfer, cheque or UPI.
A belated return can be filed until 31 December following the financial year, with a late fee of up to ₹5,000 (₹1,000 if income is up to ₹5 lakh) and interest on unpaid tax. After that an updated return is possible for up to 48 months, at an additional tax cost.
Most refunds are credited within a few weeks of e-verification, once the return is processed. Delays usually come from an unvalidated bank account, a mismatch with the tax statement or an old outstanding demand that is being adjusted — all of which we check for.
